It’s the Battle of Cape Breton in the Nova Scotia U18 Major Hockey League.
The Cape Breton West Islanders (1-1-0), who split their first two games of the season in Halifax Oct. 24-25, host the Sydney Rush (1-1-0) in their home opener.
Puck drop at the Al MacInnis Sports Centre in Port Hood is 7 p.m.
It’s the first half of a home-and-home series; the teams meet again in Membertou Sunday afternoon.
The Halifax Mooseheads (3-4-1) host Pleasant Valley’s Jacob Hudson, Antigonish’s Jake and Sean Stewart and the Moncton Wildcats (1-4-0) in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
It’s the second game in the 12-team season series; Moncton won the first 4-2 in Halifax Oct. 9.
Puck drop at Scotiabank Centre is 7 p.m.
It’s the first of back-to-back games for the Mooseheads, who visit Charlottetown Friday night.
