Pedestrian dies on Cabot Trail

A pedestrian has died on the Cabot Trail.

Ingonish RCMP say they responded to a collision around 4 Christmas Eve morning involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in Ingonish.

A 31-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene after being struck by a Ford F-150 as he walked along the Cabot Trail.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

The highway remains closed while an RCMP Collision Analysts investigate.
