Mayor says snow clearing will improve

Mulgrave town officials are responding to complains about snow clearing.

Ron Chisholm said they started receiving them following last week’s snowstorm.

After January’s regular council meeting Monday, Chisholm told The Hawk the staff are good operators, but some have not cleared snow for the town before.

“We just ask the residents to take a little time, give them a chance, with each storm they’ll get a little better.”

Chisholm said that, coupled with it being the first snowfall of the year, slowed things down.

He says he is sure that will improve.

“They learnt some big things out of this storm,” he said. “It’s a learning process for them, so just give them a chance and let them do their jobs and I’m sure it’ll all pan out in the end.”

Chisholm said they need a little time to become familiar with the most efficient way to clear the town after a major storm.

The town also released a statement about snow clearing after the storm on their Facebook page.
