A suspect arrested after a drug bust in Port Hawkesbury is expected back in court Thursday.
RCMP say officers searched a home in Cameron Ct. in the town in Aug. 2017.
They say they seized cocaine, hydromorphone, dexamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia.
Police originally charged Joseph Allison Sponagle, 27, of Havre Boucher and Destiny Hope Matthews, 25, of Inverness Co. with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, hydromorphone and dexamphetamine.
Sponagle and Matthews elected to be tried by judge alone in Nova Scotia Supreme Court; they were committed to stand trial in a decision delivered in February.
They had an August trial date set when their case returned to court in March; however, they re-elected to provincial court, and Sponagle pleaded guilty to the cocaine count in July.
Sponagle is scheduled for sentencing in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court after the hearing was adjourned in September; the remaining charges against both were withdrawn.
