Pirates visit Sackville in game four of NSJHL final

The Strait Pirates will try to put Sackville on the brink of elimination when they visit the Blazers in game four of the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League final.

The Pirates lead the best-of-seven series 2-1 after a 4-0 win in Port Hawkesbury Saturday night.

Taylor Lambke, the team’s head coach, tells The Hawk patience will be key for them on the road.

“These guys like to play kind of a trap sort of game- we just want to stay with our game plan, make sure we keep pushing forward, keep generating chances, (and) eventually the goals will come,” he says. “We want to make sure we don’t sacrifice defence in order to get chances- (we want to) try to keep playing the way we’ve been playing.”

Game time is 8 p.m.

A Pirates’ win means they can wrap up the league final- and advance to the Don Johnson Cup- on home ice when the series shifts back to Port Hawkesbury for game five Tuesday night.
