New Glasgow Regional Police are investigating a case of arson that occurred Sunday morning.
Police responded to reports of the fire at 5:20 a.m..
The vacant residence sustained extensive smoke and fire damage, they say.
Maclean Street was shut down for several hours in the morning while police and fire crews investigated. Police say the fire was deliberately set.
Emergency Health Services and Trenton Fire Department along with Nova Scotia Power also attended.
Police are asking the public to check camera footage, dash cams, and other video devices that may assist investigators in solving this crime.
They also encourage people report any suspicious activity to New Glasgow Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.
