Pump prices down ahead of long weekend

The price of gas is lower for the first time in four weeks.

Pump prices fell as much as 3.4 cents a litre at midnight; that means the new range in the Quad Counties is between a minimum of 97 cents and a maximum of $1.

The decrease comes after three straight weeks of increases.

Diesel dropped 1.4 cents; the new range is between 86.7 cents on the low end and 89.7 cents on the high end.
