The Eagles (12-4-0), with wins in six of their last seven, are tied with Moncton for top spot in the 10-team Eastern Conference with 24 points, a point up on Charlottetown; the Mooseheads (7-8-1), losers of five straight, are seventh with 15 points, three points behind Quebec for sixth, and two points ahead of eighth-place Baie-Comeau.
Cape Breton has won the first three games in the nine-game season series between the provincial rivals.
