RCMP execute search warrant at Antigonish Co. storefront

RCMP say they executed a search warrant.

Antigonish Co. RCMP say they searched a cannabis storefront on Post Road.

Police say they had assistance from the Antigonish-Guysborough Street Crime Enforcement Unit and Eastern Traffic Services.

They say two people from Antigonish were arrested.

A 52-year-old woman and a 39-year-old-man will each face one count of Possessing Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling.

RCMP say a third person was released without charge.

The woman and man are scheduled to appear in Antigonish Provincial Court on May 15.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and further charges may be laid.
