Richmond Co. drug bust suspect has trial date set

One of two women charged in relation to a drug bust in Richmond Co. is scheduled to return to court in the new year.

Police say members of the Inverness-Richmond RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit and Richmond Co. RCMP detachment searched a home in Arichat as part of a drug investigation in Sept. 2018.

They say two women from Arichat were charged as a result of that search.

Ann Marie Dorey, 59, faced counts of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, money laundering and possession of property obtained by crime.

Dorey had a Jan. 3 trial date set in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Friday.

The Crown withdrew all charges against the second woman in July.
