Saddle up, Cape Breton! First ever pro rodeo is galloping into Sydney

The Cape Breton Island Pro Rodeo is coming to Centre 200 in Sydney, September 25-27! It will be a mix of top-level rodeo action, live music and a full-on East Coast good time.

It’s officially sanctioned and backed by some big names locally and provincially, so you can expect some seriously talented competitors.

It’s more than just what’s happening in the ring. This whole thing is about showing off what the Island does best, great food, fresh seafood & local culture which, of course includes some great music!

Tickets are available now, click here.

This will fill a void for rodeo fans. The Nova Scotia Stampede launched in 2024 in Truro. It featured professional rodeo competition, live music and a big festival-style atmosphere. That was essentially the first large-scale, professionally organized rodeo event in the province.
