Sewer and water bylaw scrapped by Inverness County

Inverness County has scrapped the sewer and water bylaw.

The municipality says council voted Thursday to repeal it as part of a process to make bylaws more modern.

Bylaw 50 was originally created to amend Bylaw 30 by adding a connection charge to water and wastewater systems for Maple Street residents.

However, in October, a new policy made the bylaw redundant.

The municipality asked for feedback, last month.

Bylaw 50 will not be replaced.
