Snow squall watch, wind warnings for parts of N.S.

Be prepared for a large amount of snow in a short amount of time for parts of Nova Scotia.

A snow squall watch remains in effect for Pictou, Antigonish and western Cape Breton.

Environment Canada says there could be up to 25 cm with wind gusts up to 90 km/h overnight and into Friday.

Visibility could be near zero at times and travel could be hazardous.

In addition, there is a wind warning for Cape Breton Island and Antigonish County, with gusts that could reach 100 km/h.

The forecaster says to watch for alerts.
