Sign (on the dotted line) of the times?

St.FX will be offering a combination of in person classes and online. They say when there are too many students to ensure safe physical distancing, classes will take place online but they anticipate that most classes will take place in person.

Last week, students were sent a waiver via email. The Xaverian Weekly outlined the document.

The waiver releases the University from all liability in the event that students contract COVID-19 and are harmed. That includes loss, damage, illness, sickness, expense or injury including death that students or their next of kin may suffer as a result of COVID-19 risks.

Global News has a copy of the document, here.

Some students are (understandably) wary of signing the waiver but are also asking, what choice do they have? Is this something that we will begin to see more of? Would you sign one?
