Officials in the StFX athletics department say they have a record number of academic all-Canadians.
They say 96 student-athletes recorded an 80 per cent average or higher while they used a year of eligibility competing for one of the university’s varsity teams.
Athletics officials say that represents 33 per cent of their student-athletes; 80 per cent of the X-Women soccer team earned the distinction.
They say the previous best was 82 academic all-Canadians in the 2016-17 academic year.
