Three people have been forced from their home in the Sydney area.
Officials with the Canadian Red Cross say the fire in South Bar was reported at roughly 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.
They say there was major damage to a bungalow rented by a man and his adult son and partner.
Officials say there were no serious injuries, although the younger man was treated briefly in hospital for smoke inhalation.
