Teddy moving through Quad Counties

Post-Tropical Storm Teddy has made landfall on the eastern shore and is making its way through the Quad Counties.

The track moves up through Guysborough Co. into Antigonish Co. and up along Inverness Co.’s coast before heading up to Newfoundland and Labrador overnight.

Canadian Hurricane Centre Meteorologist Ian Hubbard tells The Hawk we’re still seeing lingering showers with a chance of thundershowers in Inverness Co. and gusty winds across Teddy’s path.

“As it moves north those winds are going to shift around, and we’re starting to see that now, going a little more southwest,” he says. “Eventually this afternoon they’ll go more west and weaken behind this system.”

Hubbard says not to expect the sun to stick around, instead, we’re looking at lingering cloud and showers most of the day.
