Motorcyclists flee police on Highway 105, two men ticketed

Two men in their 20s from North Sydney and Florence have been issued multiple tickets, including operating an unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle.

Baddeck RCMP attempted to stop four motorcyclists speeding on highway 105 on June 3, 2021.

Three of the motorcycles fled from police.

Another officer spotted the same group of bikers further along highway 105. An RCMP news release says they were driving at speeds of abut 200 km/hr.

The second officer attempted to stop the motorcyclists, but they sped off again.

Two of the three motorcycles were later stopped with help from Northeast Traffic Services near Kempt Head Road.

The third bike was reported abandoned and seized by police.
