Warnings Issued For N.S. Ahead Of Rain, Wind Storm

Warnings have been issued ahead of a rain and wind storm that’s expected to hit our province.

Up to 60 millimetres of rain could fall tonight and through the day tomorrow, with wind gusts over 110 kilometres an hour in some areas.

Rainfall and wind warnings are in effect from Environment Canada, as well as a flash freeze warning.

Temperatures will rapidly drop from double digits to below zero tomorrow afternoon, which will quickly freeze any water or slush on roads and sidewalks.

There is also a risk of freezing rain tomorrow afternoon before it changes to flurries in the evening.
