Wave of Light Event Cancelled

The Little Spirits Society of Cape Breton planned to have a Wave of Light event on Saturday.

Due to the weather forecast, the organization cancelled the in-person event.

The event was to recognize pregnancy and infant loss remembrance month.

The group announced on social media that the Town of Port Hawkesbury agreed to leave the pink and blue lights left on at the active transportation bridge in recognition of the campaign. Society President Christine Dowling was very happy that the lights were left on as many people in the community are affected by pregnancy and infant loss.

The society is planning to have a similar event around Christmas time and details are expected to be announced soon.
