West Hants child reports online threat, leads to arrest

A U.S. man was arrested for sending intimate images to an eight-year-old child in West Hants.

The child went to RCMP in May of last year, and said the man was threatening to hurt them and their family unless they sent intimate images through a social platform.

Evidence was gathered, and RCMP found the suspect’s IP address, linking it to California.

U.S. Homeland Security arrested the 38-year-old Sacramento man last month.

He admitted to victimizing more than 20 children, including the eight-year-old.
