The StFX men’s hockey team hosts the top team in the country in AUS action.
The X-Men host the UNB Varsity Reds, who are in top spot in the seven-team conference, and hold the number one spot in the national rankings.
StFX doubled UNB 4-2 in Antigonish the last time the two teams met Jan. 14; it was the V-Red’s first regulation loss of the season.
Brad Peddle, the head coach of the X-Men, tells The Hawk UNB will be looking for revenge.
“They’re going to bring their best game that’s for sure, especially after the last one, but our guys will be ready and we’ll be prepared,” he says. “We know that when UNB comes in here it’s always a good game, there’s no room for error, so we’ve got to be real strong in terms of playing a real team game and using our bench really smart.”
StFX is coming off a home win against UPEI Friday night.
