Tropical storm Erin has changed to a post-tropical cyclone.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Linda Libby says that doesn’t mean we’re not in for a rainy and windy couple of days.
She says Erin is still on the way to the Quad Counties.
Libby tells The Hawk, even though the storm isn’t as powerful as a full-on tropical storm, there are still risks.
“One of the big differences right now is, our trees are still carrying a lot of leaves, so that means even with these relatively lighter winds, we could see broken limbs,” she says. “You don’t want them coming down on utility lines and causing problems for access to services like electricity, or internet, or some of the other things we’ve come to rely on.”
Libby says we’ll see rain starting Thursday evening and says the wind will follow Thursday night.
