The Cape Breton Eagles host the Halifax Mooseheads.
The Mooseheads (7-9-5), losers of three of their last four, are third in the six-team Maritimes Division with 19 points, a point behind Acadie-Bathurst for second, and a point ahead of the fourth-place Eagles (9-10-0), who are coming off back-to-back wins.
The provincial rivals have split the first six games in their season series.
Puck drop at Centre 200 in Sydney is 7 p.m.
It’s the first half of a home-and-home series; the teams meet again in Halifax Friday night.
