1939-2026

Lawrence Francis Munroe – Canso, Age 87. Passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026 in High-Crest Nursing Home, Sherbrooke.

Born in Little Dover, he was a son of the late Daniel and Annie Laura (Harnish) Munroe. 

Lawrence worked at the fish plant for many years, he as an active member of Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Canso and was a longtime member of the Canso Lions Club. Left to mourn his loss is his cousin, Paul Munroe, many nieces and nephews and many friends. Besides his parents, Lawrence was predeceased by his wife, Roseanna ‘Rose’ Mabel Theresa (Parker) Munroe; and many other family members.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 9 a.m. – 12 Noon in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, 121 School St., Canso followed by a funeral mass at 2 p.m. in Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Canso with Father Jonathan Nnajiofor officiating.
